Definitely helpful but more organization would be helpful. The last
time we went was two years ago and nobody seemed to know if Fast
Passes would be given out when the park closed for others. It turned
out that they were but we weren't told where to wait for them.
fortunately our daughter realized that we had been given the wrong
information.
We were trying to get into Toy Story Mania and got almost the last
Fast Passes.

I wonder how EMH duty is dealt out. The newly hired without
seniority? It would explain a lot... :-) (The fact that they're up
early or up late could have something to do with it...)

You did do the regular queue at some point, didn't you?

If you didn't, do it next time. Spend some time with Mr. Potato Head.

I was told that each individual manager for each ride decides each night
whether or not to open the FP machines. So there's no central
information about it available to anyone -- you have to go to the
attraction and see for yourself.

Now, having said that, it seems like a few attractions always do have FP
open for evening EMH, every time we've checked. They include in the MK
Space Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder
Mountain Railroad. Can't speak for any other park.

It's possible but it would still be helpful if they were trained well.
there really should always be a mix of experienced and inexperienced
people.

No and I had a feeling that we probably missed something. We did spend
a little time going in but it was spotty where we stopped. The wait
time was over 2 hours when we went if I remember correctly and we
figured we would try to go later.
My wife and daughter complained enough about my schedule as it was.

I did figure that since I had had a heart attack 5 months previously,
they should be able to keep up with me.

Since you mentioned that, it jogged my memory. We were waiting in the
regular line and my daughter saw that Fast Passes were being given
out. I think we had been told that they wouldn't be.
