App deadline is next Tuesday. I heard the girl who's job I'm applying
for talking to our supervisor about training somebody during September.
So, I imagine they'll hire someone by Sept. 1.

My brother once answered that question with, "I can never get to work on
time." And he got the job! He had a pretty good reputation in that town
for the kind of work he was doing, so I guess the employer thought he could
work around it. :-)
