From: Patty Winter on 17 Jul 2010 21:22 This is interesting, if a bit confusing: http://disneylandevent.com/woc/ http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/06/%E2%80%98world-of-color%E2%80%99-road-show/ http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/07/video-of-first-stop-on-the-world-of-color-road-show/ Disney is doing sound-and-light shows in four cities around California this month to promote "World of Color." Last week, they were in San Francisco; this weekend, in Sacramento. Then San Diego next weekend (gotta get those genre geeks!), and finally LA at the end of the month. The confusing part is that although the official postings never come out and say so directly, the shows are apparently not open to the public. I found one posting from a blogger who was at the Palace of the Legion of Honor show (which Disney has some video of; looks beautiful). So maybe they're only open to invited guests? But what do you do when word gets out? It's unlikely that Disney got permission to close 34th Ave. or El Camino del Mar, which provide a popular route from Ocean Beach to the Presidio and the Golden Gate Bridge. The other locations are also in highly public areas. Oh well, I'll tune in tonight (they loop the show from 9:00-11:30 p.m. PDT) and watch the feed from Sacto. Patty
