Heading to Vegas in a couple of weeks for a special occassion and have
narrowed the hotel choice down to 2.

1. Salon Suite at the Wynn
2. Skyloft at the MGM Grand

Never stayed in either of these suites and just wondering if anyone out
there has experience with either/both and a comparison of the two.

I don't have first-hand experience with either. But all things being
equal, I would personally pick the Skyloft without question. Here are

I've been a guest in both, and would recommend the Wynn over the MGM.

TripAdvisor.com has traveler comments for "Wynn Las Vegas" (including
some for the Salon Suites) and for the "MGM Grand Skylofts". Go there
and do a search on the words in quotes.

I have stayed in the Wynn Salon Conference Suite (it was the nicest
room I've ever rented) but not the Skylofts and I would agree that,
all other things being equal, it looks like the Skylofts are the more
opulent and luxurious choice. However all other things (price) are
not equal and the Wynn salon suite is much much less expensive. If
Wynn is $700 per night and Skylofts are $2000 I personally would
choose the Wynn for three nights versus Skylofts for one.

Sounds like you can't go wrong with either.
