From: grossbea on 9 Nov 2008 15:27 We've been informed our cabin 5178 on the Zuiderdam has only a shower, no tub, which is not what we're used to on HAL. Has anyone been in a cabin of this type on the Zuiderdam? We don't mind no tub, not important to us, but we were wondering if the reason there's no tub is because the cabin is smaller? I just looked up your cabin on Travelocity and below is what it said. "VC5178 Deluxe Verandah Stateroom This stateroom features two lower beds convertible to a queen-size bed, bath and shower, sitting area, floor-to-ceiling windows, private verandah, TV, and telephone. (249 sq. ft. with verandah)" sue
From: grossbea on 9 Nov 2008 17:33 Holland America says so, as does our travel agent. And, there is an asterisk which indicated shower only on all the deck plans we've looked at. It's been suggested to us that the cabin might be a "partial handicapped" cabin. Perhaps for folks who don't need a completely accessible cabin, but must have a shower without tub walls to climb over. If that's the case, the bathroom should be roomier without sacrificing any of the cabin square footage. I probably should just call my agent or HAL and ask the question of them....... From: Sue Mullen on 9 Nov 2008 18:23 I just went to the source, the HAL website and it does say your cabin is "shower only". I guess that is the ultimate source.lol sue grossbea wrote: > Holland America says so, as does our travel agent.
