French truly is a beautiful language - I can understand why so many francophones tend to resent the rise of English as "the" international language! (There was a time, not so very long ago, when one could travel all over Europe and be understood if one spoke French.)

(I thought you were in the UK.) I am. I've worked a bit with US kids in high school, but it was mostly summer courses and so on- also quite self-selecting- i.e. kids who had some kind of musical talent already. It's not as reflective a range as I work with in the UK though. However, what you said about US kids is a charge levelled at UK kids as well. -- David Horne- http://www.davidhorne.net usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk http://homepage.mac.com/davidhornecomposer http://soundjunction.org

Nobody is bedridden for a week with the common cold. Additionally, the symptoms of the common cold are caused by the reaction of the immune system, not the virus itself. A healthy immune system will thus produce symptoms at least as severe as a weak immune system. -- Transpose mxsmanic and gmail to reach me by e-mail.

Sorry, Mixi, school's out - you'll have to save your condescension for your lucky students. I just hope none of them are Africans - we know your opinion of their mental abilities. B; |
