It's not necessarily for him, though. I really couldn't care what his
answer would be. The statement was stupid enough to begin with. He still
didn't ask for the joke which explains why I keep on repeating things
about him.

If you are not drawing a conclusion as to the individual's fluency from
the correctness of their language, what are you doing? Perhaps my use of
the equals sign in the post that this follows up was hasty, but I take it
that you are contending that correctness is a factor in fluency?
