You do realise that the Canary Islands are not part of the EU for alcohol
and tobacco purchases? You get a duty-free allowance of 250 grammes of
tobacco and will have to pay duty, taxes and VAT on the remainder.

I was wondering about that. And wouldn't 1kg of tobacco make a fair-sized
package?

There is always one or 2. I am not interested in the legalities or
otherwise. All I wanted was the price. Also I am not going on my own.

I think you will find that 43 euros is approx �30 not �60.
