winnipeg to minneapolis

From: retrosorter on 19 Nov 2007 11:45 I have to travel from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Minneapolis in December.The only cheap flight I've found (Air Canada) is almost 8 hours as I have to connect in Toronto. Is there a faster and relatively cheap way to do this trip by air or rail? Thanks

Flying time is about 1.5 hours.
