I went recently on a trip to WDW and had a very negative experience.
It wasn't how my family and I were treated, but how the employees
there (which I have heard called "cast members" here) were treated.

But first, some background. I am a 36, and my only child and the
light of my life, Tad, has down syndrome. He is ten years old and
weighs around 250 lbs. When my husband, Tad, and I were visiting
EPCOT when my son wanted to meat "Mickay Mouse". So I found one of
those people who walk around in a Mickay Mouse costume and pointed him
out to Tad. Tad got a little over-excited and ran toward him and
collided with him, knocking him down. Tad tends to do this, he
doesn't know his own strength! My husband tried to stop him, but he
wasn't too effectual, he has MS and CP. Anywho, Mickay Mouse was on
the floor and then Tad somehow managed to pull off the head of the
costume revealing the human being underneath. This mad Tad very
upset, and then he ran off crying and soiling his pants, which he
usually does when he is upset.

After I cleaned him up, I met up with my hubby and he told me that the
guy in the costume was fired! On the spot! It turns out that if a
employee in a costume takes off his head in public, he is fired
automatically! I think that is very unfair, and it really made the
rest of the trip very gloomy. It wasn't his fault my son is
retarded.

yours in Christ,
Isamu

I'm fascinated as to why people make up/post strange stories like this....

Actually, what's really twisted is that this same story, complete with
the "Mackay Mouse" spelling/pronunciation was told on RADP a few years
back. I've got to go look it up and see if it's word for word.

Yep, word for word, duplicated from a post back on July 18, 2003.
