From: Joe J. on 22 Jan 2010 17:47 All my brothers came to town to celebrate the youngest birthday and divorce. We took him to Glitter Gulch on Fremont St and we treated. Here's the sad details. First let me say this is a clip joint, pure and simple. There was no cover when we went but there was a two drink minimum. Two Miller Lites were $18.75 and it appears rail drinks were the same.2 for $18.75. The girls looked bored and just kept pushing for "private dances". As soon as you have been served your two drinks, the girls not dancing pounce to get you to go for a private dance. Turns out you could go to a booth opposite the stage and get a lap dance for $25. One song and no touching, they did all the moving. You could also choose the $35 option for a private dance behind the beaded wall. Again no touching, no hands, one song, with a bouncer watching to make sure there were no hands. The other option for the private dance was 3 songs for $100. I know, I know, but I've been going to Vegas for decades and never been it there so we thought what the hell, we'll give it a try. While waiting for one of the sessions to finish, I stuck up a conversation with one of the girls begging for a private session. On her shift, it was early evening; the girls pay $55 to perform there. Anything they earn over and above that is their profit. Save your money for gambling! -- Joe J. in LV
From: Robert on 22 Jan 2010 22:34 You should have posted a message asking about this before going there. There are some good Vegas strip clubs, and glitter gulch is not one of them. (Btw, freddy, Can Can Room was rated one of the worst strip clubs in the nation by a prominent strip club list.) But don't feel too ripped off about the $18.75 for 2 miller lights. The good clubs charge at least $20 cover to get in, and miller lights are still probably at least 8 dollars a piece. So pretend you paid 20 dollars to get in and see some naked girls and got 2 free miller lights. It makes it seem like a better deal that way in my opinion. From: CLM in ND on 22 Jan 2010 22:40 The only time I was ever in Glitter Gulch was a few years back, when my brother & his friend took me there. The 2-drink minimum then for 2 cocktails was $18. Believe it or not, there was one dancer there that was absolutely gorgeous, the only one I took notice of. Her name was Aqua & she was the personification for black & beautiful. She could have been in a Russ Meyer flick if you catch my drift. Anyway, that's my only story from my one visit to Glitter Gulch. Cameron
From: Albert Giesbrecht on 25 Jan 2010 04:35 Seven years ago, I would have said come to Vancouver for our strip joints, but now they are closing one by one, and are almost extinct, unless you want to go to the Biltmore on a Sunday night for a Burlesque night. Topless with pasties, but a heck a lot of fun!
