Strange...every repo we looked at, including the one we eventually
purchased, were sold "as-is" with no warranty of any kind from the bank.

Your absolutely correct. My agent was mystified as to why the bank is
offering this warranty. I do know my sale is under some reality program
called "realpass"? or something like that.
The mortgage is with Wells fargo but the owner of the house is using this
program for it's REO property.
Oh well... the 2 year warranty is worth around $1K so I'll take it.
