She has a Chicago accent. I have never heard a native Minnesotan
pronounce Minnesota like that!

This one is still correct:

I live in Minneapolis, the second one is how it's pronounced in the Twin
Cities area anyway. Like many other states (like Indiana, where I'm
originally from), there are regional differences in how words are
pronounced. I'm told that northern Minnesotans have accents much like
the Michigan Yooper accent.

Yep, the first one sounded odd to me too. The file has been updated.

To hear the updated version, however, you have to clear your browser
cache, then close down and restart your browser.

I'm originally from Minnesota and for forty years my wife has
pronounced it "mee-nee-SO-da", affecting a very strange accent I
suppose she thinks is Swedish. It used to be grating, but I now
choose to find it charming.

I've lived most of my life in Colorado and hope I am pronouncing it
correctly I suppose I should trill my r's.

The pronunciation of California by it's governor, I find really
irritating. Damned immigrants should learn the language.

I'll have Kay teach you in Joone. The woman is a sucker for accents.
