I think that might be a 'myth' . I have just filled in the request refund form, it does ask if you want to have all the flights under the same booking reference refunded. I don't know what will happen as it says upto 30 days will pass before the refund occurs back to the source of payment. So I guess that any one in the last bout would be in the same position of not knowing what Ryan Air will do. I would have change the booking but as the return half had not been cancelled I had to contact the customer service centre and they were not answering at 10p a minute. I would have written off the return part and re-booked the out and bought a new return, but it would not let me change the out to later than the to be abandoned return. I think Ryan Air prefers to refund flights rather than re-book.
