I know over the years the party elements have been toned down like a free family christmas picture---not sure what special christmas shows there are anymore besides the fireworks and 2 parades plus we did see character dance parties in Fantasyland and Cosmic Rays--it was not overcrowded but it was on the chilly side the week we were at WDW. We also enjoy the Halloween Party.
From: jenny on 6 Jul 2010 01:20 I would not tell you to go or not go, but I will share my two experiences. Went the first week in December on a Friday night and it was PACKED. Miserably PACKED. 45 minute wait for drinks in Tomorrowland. VERY little food available and simply PACKED. The parade was the only fun part. Went again last year on either Thursday or Friday night. Walked right in to the first parade and found a place to stand to watch right in front of City Hall. Rides in Tomorrowland and Toon Town were walk ons. Rode the Tomorroland Speedway for the first time ever. Staked out a good, but not great place for fireworks an hour before they began. Did not go to the other lands as we were both pretty tired. THe fireworks alone were worth the price of admission. My final vote? If money is not TIGHT, give it a go, but try for a week day night--not weekend and be prepared for ANY crowd level.

Sure, go ahead and give it a whirl again. Don't over do it during that day though. I ended up being too pooped to even go the night that I had tickets for it so it was a waste of money for me. I just love any of the special events though so I would definitely go for it! |
