(Sigh. Those brain cells are getting more unreliable by the month...)

Either one. :-)

Though Samantha could be Megan's mom. Now *there's* a
family I'd like to know...

(Transformers 3 (i.e. Michael Bay) is going to blow up Millennium
Park today! There's one of those city projects that was supposed to
cost $100M, and ended up costing a half-a-billion...)

I'll take a wild stab in the dark and guess that the armed guards are
actually the Egyptian Tourist Police who provide protection at all the
major sites courtesy of the Egyptian Government following a couple of
unfortunate incidents a few years ago.

Egyptian Tourist Police?

Is that like the Peppermint Patty Fashion Police?

From Caren's post, it is. But it sounds like they're there to keep an
eye on you as much as some goofball that dislikes Americans and/or
Europeans...

No thanks. I'd rather take the sharp stick in the eye again.

When it comes to choosing a vacation destination, if I have to deal with
any more security than encountered at US airports, then I'm not going.
In fact, it has to be a very, very long drive to get me to travel via
airplane. It's not that I am concerned for my safety, but I just can't
enjoy myself in an environment that is saturated with security, whether
it truly needs it or not.
