The Bikini Contest was at the MGM pool and was some kind of qualifying
event to keep moving on in the contest & she qualified and adbvanced. I
didn't go or see the other contestants but she had that combination of
good genes/good diet/good surgeon so I'm sure she'll hold her own.

While I was in Vegas there were at least two localised blackouts on the
strip -- one affecting a few stores on the south strip, (the Hardrock
Cafe & the ABC store near the Coke bottle among others) and one on the
north strip affecting the Peppermill, the Ross store and 7-11 where
Silver City used to be, and the traffic lights by Circus.

As far as the Trop towers go, the Paradise Tower (the one I think they
may have fully renovated) is very close to the Strip ad the front
entrance. The Island tower that I was in is through the over-the-pool
walkway. It's a walk, but no worse than getting to many of the rooms at
other properties (Caesars, Venetian, etc.)
