In the interest of full disclosure, I posted: "Hope to hit you with my well thrown rock of anonymity this Jooone, you whacked out katana wielding tarantula mounting chopped Honda clown." Metaphors rock.

As do euphemisms such as "whacked out katana wielding tarantula mounting chopped Honda clown" being a euphemism for "awesome dude I find myself irresistibly attracted to". It's okay, I'm a doctor.
From: tom ronson on 7 May 2010 22:21 I'm going to do the card game a little different, Mr. V --- I'm probably going to toss up a facebook page for event info, communications, photos and the like -- as well as update posts here on the avlv -- date, time and location included. Entry will be limited to 30 "qualified"* players --- seats will go to previous years players first and new comers will fill the remaining seating. We're happy to have new players, novice players, expert players, whatever. We're there for fun -- and a relatively cheesy bracelet! *A "qualified" player can only be determined by the commissioner of the event; me. The commissioner's decision will be final in regards to being "qualified" to participate in the 2010 Pan-G poker tournament. I hope you, and the misses if she plays, stop by. We had a lot of fun last year. We even had a few first time ever players at a live table who had a ball and hung into the game pretty deep. The game will take place downtown --- I will say that much for a teaser. as they say --- stay tooned! I, too, would emphasize that "qualified" does not pertain to skill level, so while it helps to have some experience, everyone is welcome to try their luck. Even the best players need some luck to win a tournament. Also, I have canceled the midnight shrimp-eating contest this year, so as not to steal the spotlight from the other competitions as happened last year. <g> --- Walt > > The game will take place downtown --- I will say that much for a teaser. > > as they say --- stay tooned! > > Mr. V wrote: > > Someone said there might be a separate website for those who are > > WELCOME to go to, to get the details of the scheduled activities and > > their location this Jooone. > > > > I know that nobody wants Payton to show up: he'd be about as welcome > > as fire ants at a Scout jamboree. > > > > Details? > > > >
