What happened to them? > They went bust, the NP and GN were swallowed up by the Burlington Northern and stopped running passenger services more than 35 years ago. If there's bus to Fargo ND from Winnipeg the OP could catch the Amtrak Empire Builder Service to Minneapolis BUT that train leaves Fargo at 2.13 AM (or Much Much later) so its hardly an attrartive option. Short of driving the only realistic surface option is 12 hour Greyhound bus ride which also goes via Fargo but at least leaves at a respectable hour (7.35 AM) Keith Keith |
