Gainesville??? Wow - I'll be there too, but not at the VA Hospital.
I'm moving to Gainesville full time on Tuesday. Gainesville certainly
has alot of choices for medical care, and I understand it's a good
place to receive medical care. Best wishes for a full & the speediest
possible recovery.

Sometime after you I'll be *enjoying* my own surgical adventure, but
not at the VA Hospital. I'll be at either N FL Regional Medical Ctr
or Shands' cancer center. They'll be removing my breast, carving out
a big chunk of my abdomen, using the ab tissue to form a new breast
and then attaching it to my chest. After that I think there are 2
more stages of additional (but less) work that'll need to be done.
Ah, the price of staying alive....not fun, but necessary.

On a more positive note, I booked Dec 10-12 to see Linda, not
realizing it was the radp weekend! I'm always at WDW over
Thanksgiving weekend, so the timing of radp just never works for me.
But, this year I'll be cruising over Thanksgiving & the following week
so Dec 10-12 will be my WDW "holiday" trip and I'm looking forward to
seeing some old (in terms of having met before - not age) and new
faces from here!

That sounds just horrible, but I know it's what you have to do. Here's
some pixie dust and prayers for you, too, SUe!

Shands and The VA share a lot of Doctors. Mine was Chief of Thoracic
Surgery at the VA until he became too involved doing Lung Transplants at
Shands :O Shands is VERY good, btw.

Any leftover Pixie Dust will be sent your way, and I will be sure to
route Tinkerbell your way!

Yes - sometimes it's a matter of staying alive versus having fun. I had
really tried to plan a trip to Disney during the summer, BUT ... I'd
rather be alive to enjoy Christmas and my Mom's 76th Birthday.

You're in my thoughts and prayers. And even though I suspect you already
have pixie dust in your blood <g> bunches more is being sent your way. I
look forward to seeing you at the F&W too.

Pixie Dust wafting towards you from the Lehigh Valley, PA. Best wishes
for an 'uneventful' adventure.

I don't believe 2010 will be one of my favorite years.
