Let's say the computer picks the 4th person to come out of a particular gift
shop after 3 PM ...and that 4th person is really strange, lots of tattoos
and body piercings, wild hair, etc. How much you want to bet that the Dream
Squad has the leeway to select #5 or #6 instead of #4?

Just my hunch.

Dunno. Since the only example we've had so far was more specific
than that, we have no way of knowing whether some of the instructions
are as vague as "4th person coming out of shop after 3:00." Maybe
some of the lesser prizes (e.g. Dream FastPasses) work that way,
but the castle stays are programmed tighter.

I had the same questions in my mind until I saw the details of the
first castle winners. Any of our resident CMs or parents of CMs know
more about the process and care to share??

OK I re-read the article again and I was wrong (it happens). The quote from
the article is "randomly picked by a roving Disney Dream Squad."

This still sounds like Disney could pull some shenanigans if the random
person is "undesirable" in Disney's eyes...

Dollywood is never completely unmanned, so I would assume that would be
doubly true for WDW. I'm not just talking about security. Maintence is
done, pavement is cleaned, deliveries are made.

I would hope Bartender Sam is wrong about the Dream Team ruling out
unconventional persons as winners.

On the other hand, after a selection is made, potential winners must
have to be qualified, i.e., not an employee of WD or ABC, not a known
Tigger abuser, etc.

I think the lucky family would be treated in a "your wish is our
command" or "if you can dream it we can do it" manner, limo to DTD or
elsewhere, changing ressies at the California Grill to the next night,
getting them to MCO on time, etc. There would have to be at least one
or two CMs assigned to the winners of such a prize, anyway.

I am also dreading to see the first lawsuit -- "I shudda won dat prize!"

Of course this is just speculation -- "If I Ruled the World...."
