Las Vegas?

Seriously, I didn't see many when I was there a few weeks ago. There may
have been one or two hotels represented.

There were plenty of independent hotel shuttles. Same kind of vehicle as
used for a hotel-owned shuttle but you bought tickets (kinda like a bus)
and they stopped at multiple hotels.

The Monorail would be an excellent solution except it doesn't go to the
airport. Gee, I wonder why not?<g>...

The closest bus route which goes downtown would be the 80 - there is a stop
at the corner of Notre-Dame and Saint-Jacques (it's a 50-minute trip, and
30-minute headways). However - it's close to a mile from the airport
terminal building. (might be a nice walk if the weather is good and you
don't have much to carry)

Sure, Vegas doesn't generally have hotel shuttles, instead it's an
independent service. This makes sense, given the close proximity of
most of the hotels on the strip to each other.

Same concept.

As I understand it, the monorail was designed for hotel/casino employees
to get to work without having to drive to the hotel where they work, it
was never designed to be a general tourist transportation system.

In this context, not going to the airport makes sense.

Only in America!

That's what I took to the Strat when I was there a few months ago. On the way
back we took a cab for around 8 bucks. Had I known I wouldn't have bothered
with the Omnibus, which seemed to stop at every hotel in town before hitting
the Strat. Bus took 45 minutes, cab took under 10.

Had a great time by the way. Gambled once for about a minute in the entire 4
days. Gamble in Vegas? Why? There's so else much to do, all much less boring.

A mile isn't bad. I remember in Korea where the Gimpo "airport" subway
station is located quite a long walk from the terminal but at least it
was all underground.

I notice that the Quebec RTC site is only in French. I thought Canada
had a law that everything needed to be in both French and English.
