p.s. Again, I do this when I'm in line by myself. When I'm in line
with a group - we chit chat or figure out what we're going to do next,
or tonight, or tomorrow. Don't like ignoring the group I'm with (the
only time I really did this was when we took Dear Aunt to Florida in
February of 2009 - I needed to be around physically but sometimes I
just had to check out mentally for a while, sudoku on the iphone was a
dear friend!)

I'd only find something to entertain me if I were running solo also.
That, so far, has been all but my first visit 35 years ago. Last time
I'd just gotten my iPhone but hadn't set up an iTunes account so I
couldn't download any apps. So I piddled around with youtube which,
without headphones, tends to disturb your neighbors. Now I can play
Sudoku or do crossword puzzles.

This coming visit will be with my roommate in tow but I'm wondering
how many queues you can stand in and for how long before the
conversation starts to become inane.

Every ride is different, every queue is different, and chances are, the
people ahead of and behind you will be different. Plenty of chit chat
material. :-)

OMG! This should be outlawed! How dare she do this! She should just
find the nearest bathroom. (yes, I am just trying to start a
long-overdue breastfeeding flame war).

I've carried a smart phone for over 10 years now, so I've always had it
to help entertain me. If I'm with friends or family, we usually just
talk (often about the people around us). If I'm there alone, I often
strike up conversations with others in line. I also try to enjoy the
queue itself. The Imagineers have generally done a great job giving us
things to look at.
