Golden Princess, Alaska inside passage.

And, yes, it's still an inside, but my wife likes how dark insides are
at night.

Bon Voyage Jeff!! That is a very good reason for an inside, esp in Alaska.

We just got upgraded from H to E (5 cats) on HAL Statendam. Deck A (the
lowest) but the center of the ship and it has a real window as opposed
to the portholes I would have had with H.

On the Veendam I was upgraded to one with portholes on Deck A towards
the front from an inside guarantee cabin. Being on A is fine on the HAL
smaller ships. There are not that many decks. Don't have an assignment
yet for the upcoming Alaska cruise on HAL but I have an obstructed
guarantee booked on that. It is a totally obstructed HH. I am guessing
if I get an upgrade I will get portholes. It would be nice though to
get the real windows. But I don't mind if I get no upgrade, I don't
need portholes or windows. Tom wanted to make sure he got windows so he
booked an assigned outside cabin.
