From: octoad on 16 Jul 2010 15:23 Just exactly as I predicted, not that I'm all that smart. Anyone who understands the political process knew this would happen, which leaves out many here on AVLV who thought Reid was going to get clobbered by that really dumb cavewoman with no statewide political experience and far less money than Reid has. This race should serve as a lesson to those Repubs who are ignorant enough to support Sarah "The Quitter" Palin for president, but it won't. "Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has opened up a seven-point lead over Republican challenger Sharron Angle, according to a Mason-Dixon poll taken after Reid aired a barrage of negative ads targeting the former state legislator." http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0710/39842.html Think Reid will be airing more negative ads in the several months left before the election? DOH. Hard to believe the Repubs were stupid enough not to nominate some normal, halfway bright conservative to run against the wildly unpopular Reid in a state which is near the top in foreclosures and unemployment, but nope, they chose Miss Tea Party. LOL. O

DOH. don't look at them as negative ads --- no, look at them as Sharon's Greatist Hits. and to be honest they couldn't run more commercials than they are now --- or at least I hope not. > Hard to believe the Repubs were stupid enough its the teabaggers --- the repubs don't know what to do with them. The truth of the matter is the baggers are a third party but the Repubs can't let the block stray too far away or they'd be history in the blink of an eye. this way they'll be history in a more protracted and humiliating way. sokay with me. > but nope, they chose Miss Tea Party. Was it just me or did Lowden always look stoned? Reid's folks announced the debate schedule earlier today. On the evening of Sept 8th Angle will debate herself with the winner going on to face Reid the following week. -- --tr

If Sister Sarah can get beyond her rebellious tabloid loving daughter and soon to be son-in-law, and if she puts aside her cynical use of politics as just another way to make some scratch and actually falls for her own propaganda that she could actually become president, the debates with Romney and Gingrich will be absolutely priceless.......
