No, assuming that most passengers are using it as a Hub, i.e. New York to
any other European city.
The minority traffic who want to go to London use the train as a link.

Just like the majority of Iceland traffic never leaves the airport lounge
other than to fly out again.

It is irritating to non-Londoners to always assume some how all facilities
have to focus on the needs of Londoners.

At least you can fairly easily get (by public transport) from London to
all the regions, which you can't say for Bristol.

So this is Boris's estuary airport, relocated to Bristol? Do they have
enough land for it?

I have no interest in the doings of Boris , particularly now he is saying
that London events should be paid for by
the rest of the country. No taxation without representation, and he was
voted in by Londoners.

A UK hub airport should be located for its efficiency as a Hub and
minimizing the effect of long haul on local traffic.
If should also reduce the risk of unscheduled landings and air pollution on
densely populated areas.

There should be no tendency to call it London Avalon.

I was suggesting a Hub airport not a destination airport.
