We are also going just after PW ends and before Christmas vacations begin. This is usually a good time for us at WDW.

We won't have a car but will spring for preferred rooms to hopefully cut down on lots of walking. I think we will also request first floor rooms only because we are going to have stollers with us and it will just make life so much easier I think. I'm cautiously looking forward to it! Have never stayed here and really had no desire to but at least it gets me closer to my goal of staying at all WDW resorts before I kick the bucket, although I don't really see myself ever staying at AS Sports. DS and DDIL are the ones who want to stay here and I will abide by their wishes! I mean, really, how bad can it be? It's Disney!

There is a good variety > so that's not a big deal. We aren't overly fussy. We've stayed at CBR a number of times since their rehab (2002-2003) and since they redid the rooms again (new beds, spreads, carpet, drapes)... We have different needs than some (no kids, 40-something married couple) - we enjoy the quiet pools, the main pool bar, and the food court. The walking is a plus, but it really isn't any worse than POR if you study the maps and make use of the cross-over at Parrot Cay. Food Court -- I really like the turkey sandwich with bacon and cranberry mayo ;) Blossom

We stayed there a lot in the 1990s but only once since joining DVC in 2000. My personal favorite was always Trinidad North. It has only 3 buildings while the other "islands" have 6 so you're sharing the grounds and quiet pool with fewer people. It's also next door to Old Port Royale so it's a shorter walk to the main pool, shop, food court, etc. Enjoy!

I will request Trinidad North first and Martinique second. Hope we get one or the other. |
