Looks like we'll be staying at CBR for the first time ever. Do you
love it? I really love POR so do you think I will like CBR? Will it
be worth it to pay extra for a room in one of the preferred
buildings.

CBR is probably my fave of the moderates! Large rooms, quiet resort
with more of an "adult" feel. IMHO it IS worth paying for a preferred
room, especially if you plan to partake of the food court or
refillable mugs often as it can be quite the hike from outlying areas.

Our favorite area was Jamaica, and I would pay extra for a water view
there, just because it would mean not being too far away from the
central area. Not sure if Janaica is considered "preferred" category.

The only thing I didn't like about CBR was the wretched food at the food
court. Beyond bad.

Ron Ng hated and said it should be closed down. ;-) Ive not heard any
specific complaints from friends who have stayed there. The only bad
thing I ever heard was they is it for overflow during Pop Warner.

Having stayed there recently, I can honstly tell you I loved this
resort! We were in Trnidad South.... the very last, last, last
section! Having a car made it no big deal to get to the "big" pool
area. food court, and gift shop which were in a "central"
location. I had my son and two grand rugrats with me and when they
saw the pirate room we had been issued, they went bonkers!!
Especially 8 year old Patrick. The resort seemed quiet, not alot of
kids running wild..... except at the kid's area of the pool. The
large pool has two hot tubs and a children's play area complete with
one of those huge water dumping buckets they all seem to love. It
also serves to keep many of the kids over in that area which leaves a
bit more room for the adults in the perfect temperature pool. The
food court has everything you would expect a food court to have. From
fresh fruit to freshly baked pizza. The room seemed more spacious
than the other resorts we have stayed in with more drawers than other
rooms. The room also had a small coffee maker and a fridge.

Having done WDW twice in the prior six weeks (Once with my neice and
her family and once with my sister and my daughter) prior to this
trip, my plan was to NOT do WDW except for Downtown Disney. Instead,
we took the easy drive to Universal to finish out our 4 days pass (we
had spent two nights on Universal porperty to take advantage of the
fastpass perk). We also drove to Kennedy Space Center one day and
took three days for pool days and just enjoyed the Disney
atmosphere.

I would love to stay there again. It makes a wonderful getaway
whether or not you do the parks. I'm sure there must be other ways to
get to the central building; however, if you have a car, it's a no
brainer.

Sorry, Ron Ng, you were off base on this one!
