It's part of the self-promotion of Rajan Zed, who refers to himself as
an "acclaimed Hindu statesman" in the press releases he issues.

In this case the 'mass deportations' involved 23 individuals
who were in the county illegally and implicated in criminal activity.
Rather than imprison them in Denmark the authorities sent them
back to their home countries.

The Roma have had a hard time in former socialist countries, i.e.
Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, etc. during socialism. They
were considered to be the pariah and were effectively denied of
education and any measures to make their life better. Now these
countries are just happy to let the Roma leave so that they would not
have to be dealt with. These people now use the possibility to travel to
better off EU countries to work in menial jobs, prostitution or just
beg. Nordic countries not used to beggars for ages are trying to do
something, but with mixed feelings. Finland for example used to deport
these people by charter flights back to their home countries to
Slovakia, Romania, etc. but as they are EU citizens they return and
deportation has been stopped as useless. As long as crime is not
involved the governments can't do anything. It's hard to determine how
much human traficking is involved, but for sure it plays a role.

The far right use the existence of these migrants as a tool for their
own objectives and generally the left wants to help them in getting
settled mostly in their own countries. As money is a big question the
general feeling is turning against these migrants and their problems,
begging on the streets, prostitution, petty crimes. In Finland begging
is being made illegal so that these people could be deported legally.
Now that even Hindu politicians are showing interest the question turns
more and more complex. After all, these people came originally from
India a few hundred years ago, but are now EU citizens.

Good ideas are welcome.

So the reason for deportation are civil and legal not ethnic in and of
themselves. The nordic countries have accepted many ethnic groups
clearly so another factor had to be at work.

The rom, or gypsies started on their western migration perhaps as long
as 1500 years ago from s. asia. They went not only west into europe but
into central asia also. It is a clear example of a western movement of
an indueuropian language moving counter the movemnt in history.

In europe their religion tends to be that of the region in which they
reside so any support for their plight of clear oppression in many
places has nothing to concern a hindu "authorty" then any oppression
anywhere. Is this "authority" speaking of oppression in africa or even
in s. asia?

Nordic countries have been more hostile to non-white immigrants than
any other region of Europe. (Iceland has non-white immigration close
to zero).

The Roma need all the friends they can get. Might help if the Hindu
fundies could supply them with a few nukes they could point in the
general direction of Bratislava, Zagreb, Bucharest and my local
council's office in Dalkeith.
