Also, the deluxe resorts have outlets outside the handicapped rooms so
you can recharge the scooters overnight. They may be outside of the
non-handicapped rooms and at other than deluxe resorts, but I haven't
tried that yet.

When I rent from Walker Mobility, they ask that you take the scooter
INTO the room at night and recharge it; I've had no problems at any
level of Disney resort doing that.

The more I look into this, the more of a nuisance it looks like.
Postponing the trip isn't a possibility--I may keep my park going to a
minimum and send everyone else off to the parks while I lounge on the
balcony.

I supposed they have sealed or gel cell bateries? Otherwise, I'd be
concerned about hydrogen buildup in the room. (I don't know what
kind of batteries they use in the big ones. The small one I've
actually had contact with (and broke down into three pieces and fit
in a trunk), had gel cell batteries, I think. I'm not sure it'd do a
couple laps around Epcot, though...

I rented mine at the parks because I didn't need one 24/7. If I did I
would rent from an outside company. I just didn't want the hassle of
dealing with the buses with the scooter.

Some people are rude and will deliberately walk in front of you like
you aren't there. Some people just really don't see you because they
are in their own little world. Then you have the lovely teenagers who
decide to lounge in the chair outside of attractions and are really
not happy when you finally show up to take their resting spot away
from them! They're great for getting around. Don't take it in Test
Track with you. I got stuck and held up the line and it was very
crazy and embarrassing!!!
