From the photos, I believe they are sealed batteries..

I doubt that one of the major outside supplies of ECV's to Disney
would be asking you to do something hazardous. I believe they have a
double-battery pack, I could easily be at rope drop, do laps around
Epcot, zip over to the MK via monorail, and race back again thru Epcot
at closing to the Beach Club on my last trip - and the battery charge
meter rarely went below 3/4 full.

Caren - if you are at an Epcot area resort (or even an MK resort), you
can avoid much of the issue with ECV's and the buses, as you can drive
almost everywhere, and the only issue I have with the monorail is
backing out of the car down the ramp, but if you just take it slow,
you will do fine.

If I want to go to WDW, I must use my mobility scooter. WDW is perhaps
the best place I've ever been on it. The transportation works, the CMs
are friendly, the hotel staff is helpful, etc. *ANY* large crowd
situation is going to be tough, not just at WDW. You just have to deal
with it. I yell "watch it!" when I need to, and just smile at the
(usually) apologetic pedestrian. I also will call out "beep beep!" when
I need to (the horns on those scooters are terribly underpowered). Stay
to the side in walkways, and be watchful. Never drive forward if your
eyes aren't looking forward. And just do it. And keep a sense of humor.

Best of luck,

Well, there's absolutely nothing wrong with lounging on the balcony -
I'm doing it right now (though not at WDW).

Dare I believe my skull cap and ears?!
For the Queen of Adventureland not to visit her kingdom, appease the masses,
minister to the minions, surf the serfs - why, that might incite riotous
ruin, cause a calamitous coup, even the possibility that uslurp usurp.

Our queen has more fortitude than to forfeit a fortnight in the forecourt.

Before Knott's Berry Farm had a fence, my grandma presented me with a small
keychain timer, which could be wound up to an hour. She set the time, placed
it in my pocket and set me free, to return to the same spot when the timer
rang. Mobile telephones do that today, with much leeway for coordination.
And the whole point of powered mobility is to keep up with the lesser
royalty.

Noblesse oblige - 'tis your duty to your loyal subjects to make an
appearance, and no one will fault you for doing it safely! Long Live the
Queen!

Try the high arch Spenco orthodotics in addition to the scooters.

Don't go fast and watch out for idiots when you drive the cart. Plus, don't be
one of the idiots that drives with reckless abandon.
