So no one's confused... that's Downtown Disney in California. This will be
their first foray into WDW.

For chain Italian food, we like Johnny Carrino's. but of course for
real Italian, we either cook it ourselves or go to one of the many
"family owned" restaurants in the area.

Says September, but I am assuming you can't book yet? Anyone have info
on if/what dates it can be booked?
DD and I had wanted to try Alfredo's but saw it closed August 31 so
didn't even try.

I pretty much agree but my vote would be for no chain restaurant at all.
Ever carry home leftovers from Carrabbas, or take it to go? The word
"congeal" comes to mind. Even the salad dressing.
