It is funny. I came here when all the prodigys, the netcoms and the mindsprings and the others joined to create this thing called the internet. The fastest thing was a 56 k modem and dial up. It's neither good nor bad, just a statement of fact. Someone here did a google on it and many of us were here before google recorded al this useless drivel. Not that I am anything special, because I am just plain old me, iced tea in hand, just having a good old time. But like Grandpaw said, ... "you, too, shall pass". Good of you to confess that swooooooooooooosh. You are an open and honest man to do so. Now, I,ve got to remember where I ut my false teeth. I think I left them in an apple in the fridge. Don, in zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

We understand. :) Try seperating them bastards when they start yelling at each other in different languages. :) Don, Karl, Otto, Caesar, Juan and Homer and Clem Kadiddle Hopper. :O!

It's > neither good nor bad, just a statement of fact. Big effin deal. I was communicating on CompuServe and The Source back in 1980 with a 0.3k modem, years before Prodigy or Mindspring even existed, and long before you ever touched a computer. And even farther back, in 1970, I took a BASIC programming class in high school, where we keyed in our programs on punch tape. The teacher would run the programs at night when timeshare-computer rates were lower, then we'd get the printed results back the next day. But you don't see me going on and on about this stuff here like it's some kind of accomplishment. Hundreds of thousands of folks were online long before you, so don't delude yourself into thinking you were some kind of pioneer. Not that you'll heed any of this. Deluding yourself is what you do best. --- Walt
