Maybe not...American Express spells "Traveler Cheques" that way.

Regardless, WDW accepts traveler checks, so the OP should have no
problem using them there. I would suggest exchanging them for cash at
Guest Services as opposed to trying to use them at individual stores and
restaurants. While it shouldn't be an issue, they are becoming more
rare, so the average cashier CM might not know how to handle them
without having to get help.

Unless HD_3 has moved lately, she's from Minnesota.
You really need to learn how to stalk people better. ;-)

I agree with most others, ditch the TC's and use a credit card.
If it's lost/stolen, you can stop any transaction with it immediately,
and get it replaced pretty quickly. You'll be surprised how little
cash you can get away with.

(I have a traveler's check in my wallet in case of emergency.
It was a left over check from one of my business trips, when I
used to travel a lot on business. So it's been in my wallet for
some 22 years without being used... I hope that by the time
I have to use it, it won't break into little pieces when I try to
unfold it...)

Minnesota? Well, I guess Patty was right, HD_3 *will* need currency
conversion! ;-)

And you will also be surprised at how much "cash" you will have to have
to pay off the credit card! That, in fact, may be one of the compelling
reasons one might have to use traveler's checks - you can't overspend them.

You know, if I cutout the part about it being a traveler's check... ;-)

I get more disparaged when I use cash and watch how fast it
disappears. I'm on vacation. Out of sight, out of mind... :-)

Good god, you mean I didn't get any for *22* years?

Inconceivable!

Keane, who tries to climb out of the gutter every once in a while...
