For me, it's not really the food that is the issue. In fact, the food
there is no better or worse than the food at other WDW burger counters.
The main problem I have with Pecos Bill is that it always seems to be
dirty, with not enough tables and cashiers to handle the crowds. Also,
the dark furnishings and low ceilings make it seem like a cave. I just
do not care for it at all, and often it tends to be the only place open
in the MK.

Wow, I don't believe I've ever had "stale" and "damp" bread at the same
time. But Lord knows that if it can be done, Disney counter service
will find a way!

Greasy is fine with me, but thin? Unacceptable!

Oh, you must have had the "deluxe" burger.

Yep, this has been my experience, too. I know that the guests are
partly to blame as they aren't careful and make a mess, but this is just
the nature of the beast with self-service food bars, so Disney needs to
have enough CM's to keep it maintained.

Ditto!

And how disappointing is that? I decide to throw caution to the wind
and cheat on my diet with french fries and get crappy ones!

Yeah, it has improved - they now change out the lettuce every other
night instead of weekly! ;-) I won;t say I'll never eat there again,
but I won't eat there by *choice* - it will only be if it's the only
food available in the MK and I have to have some. Otherwise, I'll get
my counter service elsewhere, like at a resort, or even my favorite
place, Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.

It is oddly empty during a parade, since guests are stacked up right
outside where the parade comes from backstage.

I think they have the same toppings at Pecos Bill's, it's just at
Pecos Bill's it all looks like the beginning of an interesting
microbiology experiment.

Keane, who's made that observation before...

What do you eat there? I've had the Chinese and it was not good. The
pastry is o.k., I think it's coming from the same place that used to do
the Fountainview's pastries. Also tried the refrigerator sushi and it
wasn't good, either. I must be going to the wrong booth.

It's not so much a restaurant as a refueling stop.
I go there to slam down some food, rest my legs and plan my next move.

There aren't enough bad words for the backless chairs though. Whoever
the "efficiency expert" was that came up with them needs to be forced
to use one as their office seat.
