We are very early risers, even on vacation, so we almost always use the morning EMH and love it - we get so much done before lunch. We have never done the evening EMH - maybe someday.... -Joe

In the morning, fewer people want to start their day early; no time is wasted getting a wristband. However, it's only an hour (but you can get done in an hour what would take you 3 later in the day). Evenings, yes, there are more people simply extending their day, but if you show up later, as has been stated, the crowds have thinned (in fact, I would recommend waiting until the non-EMH crowd has left, or you'll feel like a salmon swimming upstream). More atractions are open in the evenings. Both work well -- but you're best to time them when you can based around other things, like fireworks you want to see, dinner reservations, etc. The MK is a project in and of itself -- you gotta be among the first ones in in the morning and move like commandos to get the big stuff out of the way. Then, when the stroller brigades hit, grab any FastPasses you can that don't take more than 2 hours. Once you've exhausted those, get out of there, you won't be able to do anything for quite a while. Come back when you can for the evening, but wait for crowds to thin and avoid weekends. Best I can do. Other than grabbing a 2nd showing of Fantasmic, or RnR or ToT, MGM will be a short night, and AK just has rides, no animals (but you probably hit Everest on your morning EMH and zipped over there first, grabbed a FP *and* got in line, before heading to KS). You'll have Epcot all to yourself in the evenings, but compare what's open in the a.m. with the p.m. so you can see what you want to see. That's all probably really confusing and not much help at all. But there is no "right" or "wrong" way to do stuff -- as long as you see what you're interested in and enjoy yourself. From: Peppermint Patty on 27 Mar 2007 12:42 We usually plan around EMH mornings. We'll hit a park the day after it's EMH morning. That's just usually and not always. For example, we DO like to hit AK for the EMH in the morning to try to catch the animals first thing in the morning on the safari. What we did on our last trip was mainly skip EMH in the morning, get to a park around 9- ish, go back to the hotel in the early afternoon to rest, and then head back out to that day's EMH evening park. That worked well for us in October.

Well I think it is a toss-up---when WDW used to do just Morning EMH it was best to avoid that park on that day and go to the park who had early EMH the day before. Now that it is both early and late it is alittle hard to judge--evening EMHs to me seemed to be busier since most people extend their days. We are early risers and usually took advantage of early EMH at The MK-great park to head to early. I have found that MGM and Epcot was not really worth it.

During any but the lowest attendance times I use 1 of 2 strategies for touring against the crowds: 1) Get up for park opening every day. Hit early emh's once for each WDW park and 9am the other days. Don't do evening entertainment past about 7pm. 2) Start the trip on am schedule. Do early emh at all 4 parks as early in the trip as possible. Sleep in the next day and switch to afternoon/ eve for the rest of the trip. Go to some late emh's. On either schedule save theater and less popular attractions for afternoons. When you're at an early emh park plan to park hop just after 11:30 lunch, or stay if by some fluke the lines are still short. I personally don't like to break up my day because running back and forth that extra time takes at least 90 minutes out of every day. And it breaks sleep into 2 periods every 24 hours.
