Ok, I know about the website that rumors texas park.

I know this has been discussed before.

New info was brought to my attention.

A Frisco TX city councilman told a friend of mine that Disney owns
property in two Texas areas. One is near Prosper TX in various holding
companies. He said that the Dallas Tollway would be extended to 380.
Not long after NTTC announced that the tollway would be extended to
380. 380 goes across north texas from denton where a connection to 35
goes up the center of the country. Gov. Perry announced a super freeway
that would begin in Austin with plans to extend to Ok from Mexico.

The next step is for the Mckinney airport expansion to accomodate
flights to a Texas Disney theme park.

I argued the normal arguements that have been posted on RADP...Disney
is looking international, why open a park half way between Orlando and
Anaheim, Virginia park was shot down ect.

He said that there has been plans to open a park in Texas for years.
Disney purchased land in two areas.

Dallas/Ft. Worth has 5 million residents (and growing) within a 100
mile radius so there are more than enough local traffic to populate the
park.

He also said that Jerry Jones (owner Cowboys), Deion Sanders,
Staubaucks real estate company and others have been buying up land in
the surrounding area of Prosper.

The tollway will not be finished for 2 years or so. Once that is
finished and the airport is completed, Disney will break ground.

You heard it hear first, well maybe it has been discussed a hundred or
so times.

They still haven't decided which side of DFW Trans Texas Corridor will
go.

Coincidence?

The word I gotten from McKinney is that it's only 250 to 300 acres and
it's for a studio or corporate offices, and it would be half way between
DL and WDW. McKinney is the northern most point of intense growth from
Dallas and has an established general aviation infrastructure that could
easily handle any corporate jets.

No. We all know the answer is no. If there is a rumor about a Disney
(blank) located at (blank), the answer is no. No way. Uh-huh.

With the exception of 130, the Trans Texas Corridor is still a pipe
dream.

Disney owns property all over the place. It's called an investment.
When the time is right, they'll sell it for a profit. When the rumor
was that Disney was going to build a park in San Antonio, the price of
land around the supposed park sky rocketed. And Disney quietly sold
their land to these specualtors. When the prices collapsed, Six Flags
queitly bought a prime parcel and opened Fiesta Texas.

As long as DFW reigns supreme, McKinney will never be a commercial
airport. Besides, it's land locked and doesn't have the room to
expand.

And the one in San Antoino turned out to be a flop. The North Texas
one is just a dream, as well.

It's called an investment. When I lived in Carrollton, Frisco was a
sleepy little town of about 5,000. Look at it now, 12 years latter.
What is it, 88,000?

The airport will never happen

McKinney isn't big enough to support jets and will never get any
bigger. Addison is the closest GA airport that support turbines of
any sort. There's an RV6 turboprop at McKinney, but that hardly
counts.
