It's the Chamber Of Commerce mentality. For some reason, people like to ignore reality. Just like they'd like you to ignore that hardly a night goes by when we don't see a news story about some negro robbing a convenience store, crack house bust, etc. etc. Now various folks are going to get their panties bunched because I dare speak the truth. Of course, these same folks wouldn't go walking alone at night in the Parramore area, but I'm evil because I point this out.

Downtown Orlando is a dump. And for you tourist don't confuse downtown Orlando with Disney World, Sea World, or Universal Studios. That area is very safe. Downtown Orlando is for losers.

Under what circumstances would the "large assault rifles" be used? Seems like either a show of force with no intent to use, or a serious incident waiting to happen.
