OK, being the devil's advocate for a minute....
Why should you expect Disney to provide you with the better part of
another day for free when they could be booking another family into
the room?
On the other hand, Disney is really bending over to allow guests to
leave their luggage. enjoy the parks, and leave much later than check-
out.
I say leave the luggage, enjoy your last day, and say "Thank you" to
the CMs for allowing you to do it.

Joe was really, really sick with the flu at the end of one of our trips,
and they chucked us out without a care, despite some heart felt pleading
on my part. That was not a fun day.

As someone who works in the industry, I wouldn't count on a late
checkout anywhere. The chain I work for guarantees a check-in at 4PM
which means that's the time all of our available rooms have to be
cleaned and ready for a guest. Even when we aren't busy we generally
don't go later than 2 as it's too difficult when guests say "but you
let me check out at (insert time) the last time I stayed here". When
we are full we rarely go past noon.

Disney goes a long way accommodating people in this regard, holding
your luggage for you and all. I wouldn't count on getting a late
checkout from either of those other hotels you've talked to either,
especially if you've called their central reservations office and not
the specific hotel to ask about a late checkout. We've run into that
problem as well where they tell a guest they can have something while
makeing a reservation, but it's not the case when they arrive.
