I'd agree with Rodney if all I was doing was storming the parks. But I don't, and do spend some time at the resort. The extra space, larger table, furniture that doesn't look like it came out of a college dorm catalog, more relaxed themeing (not to mention not having to call Mousekeeping for a 'fridge and coffee maker) makes it worth the few extra dollars. I'm talking AP rates... :-) Keane -- When stars are born, They possess a gift or two, One of them is this, They have the power to make a wish come true... -- Wishes Visit my site: http://keanespics.com
From: nekochan on 3 May 2010 16:01 I've been at the Poly and All star sports. I love, love, love the poly, but it was a one time splurge, especially since I think most of this upcoming trip will be for non MK parks. If I decide on a value I'll try the pop century this time, but a coffee maker and fridge in the room, plus a nicer pool and a sit down restaurant, are all huge plusses for me. Typically, if I'm in the park i'm in commando mode, so having a hotel where I actually relax is important. CBR, although lovely, looks really big and spread out. I am tempted by CSR because my son and I love mexican food, but everyone seems to be leaning towards to the PO/POFQ resorts. decisions decisions!!! So glad I have months before I really make any decisions!!! half the fun is looking everything up.
From: Blossom on 3 May 2010 17:58 Please note -- The food at CSR isn't what most of us think of as "mexican" food & frankly, although I used to be a huge fan of eating at CSR -- the last few years -- it's gone from "we'll drive over to get dinner at Pepper Market" to "we'll go anywhere else to eat that isn't Pepper Market" POFQ doesn't have a sit down restaurant, you'd have to go over to POR to eat at Riverside if you so desired (although, typically, we like the food court at POFQ & there are "full meal" options - something other than pizza, burgers, hot dogs) POR does have Boatwrights for sit-down meals -- we've tried it 3x, spread out over MANY stays at POFQ -- haven't liked it at any time CBR has convenient bridges to get back and forth to Old Port Royale. Many quiet pools (one in each "village"), decent food court, and sit- down restaurant (the food is actually good enough that we willingly go back there to eat). Blossom
