A perusal around newspaper opinion sites and web blogs shows that folks are drawing a distinction between this case and, for example, the earlier case of the toddler whose parents refused to get her seated. Which kinda goes to, y'know - life. Sometimes one 'side' is more justified; sometimes the other. > >I suspect that the mother had no concept that her little darling's behaviour >was vile, and should be kept apart from civilised society. Have you even read up on this case? Banty

The kid behaved disgustingly, All the reports said the child was saying, "Bye, bye, plane". Des this pass for disgusting behaviour on your planet or do you know something you're not telling us? >a FA objected, and they were kicked off. I suspect the mother also started >to misbehave. The mother's alleged behaviour is the reason they were ejected. >Everyone goes off about the evil airline targeting a poor defenceless lady >and her dear cute little kid, and then the stupid mother exposes her >horrible child's vile misbehaviour to the world on a TV show. The footage doesn't tell us anything about the child's behaviour on the plane. And anyone who doesn't know how a nineteen month child _may_ behave is so wet behind the ears they probably think saying "Bye, bye, plane" is disgusting behaviour. DaveM

The kid was "fidgetty" during the interview, but what kid that age wouldn't be.

As I see other reports, this may not be the case. Other passengers are speaking up against the FA. > Everyone goes off about the evil airline targeting a poor defenceless lady > and her dear cute little kid, and then the stupid mother exposes her > horrible child's vile misbehaviour to the world on a TV show. The kid seemed normal on the interview. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=3371901&page=1 Yes, he was a bit "fidigetty", but nothing that I would consider turning around a flight for. > I suspect that the mother had no concept that her little darling's behaviour > was vile, and should be kept apart from civilised society. You seem to have a zero tolerance level. That's not good either. I don't know how much flying you do, but lately, I've seen some FA's that should be slapped up side the head a few times. > ant > Don't try to reply to my email addy: > I'm borrowing that of the latest > scammer/spammer |
