I've lost about 100 lbs. and did a lot of it on the treadmill as well
as watching what I although not drastically. I started slowly. My
knees are better than they were but still a problem. At least I don't
need to wear knee braces all the time like I used to.

I used to have trouble just walking down stairs. I had to take them
one at a time, always bringing the back foot down to the same step as
the front foot. Dropping only 30 pounds has alleviated much of that
problem. But I still can't break out into a run. Maybe another 30
pounds?

I used to do about 40 minutes of mall walking a day but lunch hours
have become difficult to get out of late.

I doubt that I'll ever be able run but i don't have much desire to do
that. I do walk fairly fast.
