Back in the E-Ticket days, I kow we did some 2 hours waits; now, I'll go for
a posted 30 minute wait if I think it's overstated....

I do remember our first trip to AK in June 1999 (Honeymoon). We weren't
there at openeing, but soon after. We headed straight for the safari and the
line was back past Tusker House. A cast member was out front saying "Do not
get in this line. The wait time is over two hours. Do NOT get in this line,
you WILL ruin your day!" We found it pretty funny, but heeded her advise. We
never did get on the safari that trip, but have well made up for it since.
Sometimes, even Disney magic needs a dose of reality!

We aren't early risers but try to get there early and come back to the
hotel in the middle of the day. One of the worst days we ever had at
WDW was when we met my cousin and his family one day when we just
happened to be there at the same time. They wanted to meet about noon
and then just do one attraction after another that were next to each
other no matter how long the lines were rather than seeing attractions
which short lines and coming back. We had gone on Splash Mountain
twice in less than the time they waited to go on once.

I think 30 minutes posted time is the longest we would get in line for. Then
we figure it will probably be less. On one of out grandkids trips we waited
more than 45 minutes for Arial's autograph. The other times we were there
she wanted to get in line and we kept saying another time it will be
shorter. Well on the last day we had to let her get the signature.

On our first visit we did wait in line for 90 minutes for several rides and
did not care as it was our honeymoon as as long as we were together we did
not care what we were doing.

Ha! Oh gosh, the line went past Tusker House? That's a *long* line!

From what my DH has heard, if you are overweight or tall, you can't get on
this ride - the seats are very small.
