Aren't they aware that this is the U.S.? And actually there some very tall Europeans. I'm on the taller side and when we were in Europe, We saw some very tall people. I never saw a woman taller than me until my daughter was applying for college and there was one person in admissions who was taller than I am. But I saw several women in Europe that were. > >The same employee said they are remanufacturing the ride vehicles. Is >it true??? And even then if I crossed them the wrong way the lap bar would press in just such a way as to cause agony for the entire ride. And at 6' 2" I've only got 32" legs. Most of my height is in my torso. My roommate on the other hand, who's also my height, had 37" legs. He loved my Oldsmobile compared to his old Nova because the leg room and the headroom made him feel average. >>The comment that got me was that they were pulling people out of line >>to have them sit in the sample vehicle to determine if they could >>ride. Interesting experience at IoA a couple of years ago. I tried the sample vehicle before getting on Dueling Dragons. I fit okay and had no trouble with the ride itself. I decided to forego the sample seat on the Hulk coaster, assuming that the only concern was one's butt size. Turns out that when I got on the ride itself the problem with fitting was that they couldn't pull down the shoulder restraint due to chest size. It was a bit embarassing to have three people working on trying to get me squeezed in. Eventually they had me wait for the next set of cars and I did fit in the special vehicle. So it's not all in the size of one's posterior. Ironically, Lou Ferrigno would probably have trouble fitting into the Hulk coaster's regular seats. -- Lilith |
