I'm going to have to go with a portobella mushroom and polenta dish
cooked for me at Mama Melrose for a family style meal, for the Backstage
Magic tour, when I asked for something vegetarian. It's sadly not on
the menu anymore.

Twice I've eaten at MM's for the Backstage Magic tour, and both times
the food has been amazing.

Twice I've been to MM's for regular dinner service, and the food's been
meh to just o.k. I guess it's only a good place for lunch? Or maybe
the head chef cooked our tour meals himself? Maybe I was just really
hungry.

Steve, I almost put that down!! That was definitely my second favorite
WDW dish of all time. I had a fantastic meal with Joe in December 2004
with that filet, followed by Vahlrona cake, of course!

Here's your trivia quiz for today: Can anyone tell me where else in the
world (the whole world) you can find the original Vahlrona lava cake?

Actually, my wife had the filet while I had the pork loin. She did give me
about a quarter of hers and that's what I based my evaluation on. And, yes,
I did wash it down with Valrhona lava cake. Sadly, the next time there, I
had the filet but the sauce had changed and, while good, it wasn't the
knock-your-socks-off good I remembered.

Yep. Add most of the other soups as well. Loved almost all. The Coke Flank Steak
is pretty darned good, when they offer it.
