Well I remember a post on here that said something like "Ask Keane, he
know everything". Hmmmm, now that I think about it maybe it said "Ask
Keane, he is a know-it-all. Same thing, right?

I thought you were rich.. Of course rich is a relative term as is poor
which is my catagory.

I remember a time when no planning was needed.
And I suppose none is now if you don't need to do any table service
meals or tours.

Guess I will make my decision and do something today.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes! Tupelo. I remember remarking on it. I stayed the night in
Tupelo after getting off the Natchez Trace (from Natchez, MS) back in
1992. Took me until 2000 to finish the Trace from Nashville to
Tupelo, and probably passed within 10 miles of Rodney's place
on my way to WDW. Course, I didn't do RADP back then...

As a matter of fact, yes!

I wish. I'm just not in debt, which these days, might be rich.
Between getting no raises during the recession, and the way my
taxes (and fees and licenses) are skyrocketing courtesy of the city,
county, state and feds, I'm going backwards.

Of course, I still do things like buy all 8 volumes of the Three
Stooges on a Amazon Gold Box deal for $83.99. I didn't want to.
My brain went to go click cancel, but my hand wouldn't let it. $84
for every single stooge short uncut and completely restored. I
couldn't stop myself. PiC hates the stooges. I'll have to have a
disc in the next time she comes over. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.

Well, actually, here's my thought.

Don't worry about it. You're going to have more fun with the newbie
than you would with most of the attractions. You will swell in the
eyes of said newbie as you must know *everything* there is to know
about WDW. By day 4, your newbie will be so brain-overloaded that
even iasw will look like a broadway play.

And finally, regardless how nucking futs it gets, it's still
Christmastime at Disney.

I forgot about this part.

First, for the most part, I agree about the BBQ, with a single
exception. My favorite BBQ joint in Chicago is actually a North
Carolina class BBQ. My BBQ joint was on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.
Was yours? Huh? Huh?

Second, my mapping software estimates about 14 hours (through
Atlanta) about 734 miles from Tupelo to WDW. Be aware than once you
cross over the boarder from Georgia to Florida, hotel prices seem to
jump 30-50%. Does Newbie drive? Do you think you can do 14 hours?
(My mapping program says 14 hours, but in reality, if you drive like
I do, it's more like 12. I'm in my car a minimum of 12 hours the
first day, unless I'm having a hot dog, or something like that...)

If you can, I might consider driving all day, then staying off-site at
one of the cheap quality inn's (or equivalent) off I-Drive, then spend
the morning in a park before going to your resort to check in.

But that'd be me. It just makes the magic start sooner.
HAHhahahaha...

To the last bit, Amen, brother. About the stooges... Well, enough said.
I am with PiC on this one.

Well, my mapping software estimates just under 12 hours, going through
Atlanta. This still seems a bit long to me since I can make it to
Tupelo in just a bit over 2 hours and to WDW in 9 at an easy pace.
