Keane,
Tell tell tell!
We have to come up to Chicago in a few weeks to see a friend who's in
town for business.

Can't you just call Disney and have them change the dates of your current
reservation? Then ask what it would cost to change to the POR? You should be
able to change and not have to cancel and rebook. Just make sure to tell
them you are changing dates to get the free dining special!

I don't think they will do it that way. My understanding is that I
would have to cancel my reservation and then make another for the new
dates and resort along with a new deposit and wait 4 to 8 weeks for a
refund. Also the tour and Hoop-De-Do that I have already paid for.
I hate to say it but I am tired of playing the game. At some point you
just have to give up and let them win. Too bad.

Didn't qualify. Mine is not a Diner, Drive-in or Dive.

It's called Smoque:

http://www.smoquebbq.com/

PiC and I both agree the best is the pulled pork. Both the spare and
babyback ribs are excellent. (I prefer the babybacks.) The brisket
is literally the best I've had. You don't need the sauce with any of
it, but the sauce is really, really good. (They put it on the side.
Use it as a dip for your fries.)

The chicken, not so much. The time I tried it, it was over-cooked and
dry. Haven't tried the sausage or the salad. The fries are hand cut
and worth the 15 days they'll take off your life. The mac and cheese,
I can take or leave, but others rave about it. The beans are also
really good, they use the brisket they didn't sell the day before to
make it. The cole slaw is great with the meal, 'cause it's one of the
only things that don't have meat in it. Save room for the peach
cobbler. I mean that. (More likely, you'll take it with you and eat
it later.)

I'm getting hungry again.

Don't go late. They sometimes run out of things. The seating is
really limited, but there usually isn't a problem getting a seat, but
it might be tight. The line can back up to the door, but the line
moves pretty quick. Know what you want, and be ready to pay for it.
All the other people behind you will thank you. Oh, don't park where
you're not supposed to.

Don't be afraid of the place. It was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,
and it's not a diner, and it's not a drive-in. Got it? But you won't
be disappointed.

They aren't open on Mondays. If you don't know how to get around
Chicago, let me know, I'll send directions.
